  1. After a while, these become just a bunch of numbers, unhinged from any consequences.

  2. Look at the inside of their facility. You might mistake it for a bank at first glance. Look at the paperwork. Look at the oversight. Face reality: people buy drugs. Now ask yourself: would you rather people buy drugs in places like this, or from criminal thugs on street corners? Read the rest of this entry »

  1. Ron Paul predicted the fall of the housing market as early as 2003.

I think I’m leaning toward Gary Johnson this time around because I like him better on social issues, but I will gladly pass this on, as I would be just about as satisfied with a Ron Paul win in 2012.

  2. Who are “Standard & Poor’s” and why do they hate America? Either they are with us or they are with the terrorists.

  3. If the DEA wishes to gain adherents, it really should renounce such a weak representation of its anti-marijuana stance. Long story short, anyone who advocates for the criminalization of medical marijuana patients primarily on the grounds that smoking it is harmful must also address vaporization as an alternative means of delivery. If they do not, then they are either too ignorant to have a valid opinion on the subject or they are deliberately engaging in sophistry. This past January, the DEA put out a position paper of their own, which I’ll have to address next time.  Read the rest of this entry »

November 21, 2010

Nice try, buddy. The fed's drug schedules say otherwise.

  1. The AMA is clearly misleading the public. Everyone knows that the government has classified marijuana as a Schedule 1 controlled substance, meaning that it has no accepted medicinal value…

  2. Chaos didn’t ensue. The War of 1812 ensued, is what ensued.

  3. Lots and lots of buzz lately in the libertarian media about these TSA searches. Reason.tv has posted a series of reductio ad ridiculum videos about them. Of course, airlines stand to lose customers if they can not ensure their safety. Nobody wants to see planes hijacked and crashed into buildings. The airlines should be free to handle security as they see fit, without government intervention and mandates.

  1. The fun part of being a libertarian is that you get to blame the government for all your problems. The hard part, and the part that drives people away from the ideology, is that you have to relinquish your sense of entitlement. No, you are not entitled as a matter of natural right to carry your luggage onto an airplane at no charge. The airlines are providing a service for you, and they have certain terms that you must either accept or reject. Who knows? The baggage charge might reward those who economize by reducing their overall ticket price…..

  2. The chief of police of Columbia, Missouri, where the now-viral video of a marijuana raid was filmed, wishes the marijuana law reform movement success. Read the rest of this entry »
