A must-listen for those who insist that Alan Greenspan represents the quintessential libertarian.

  2. Heartland Institute | Mozilla Warns of Stifling Government Regulation of Internet

    – There is a little bit of issue confusion going on here. Winifred Mitchell Baker seems to be talking implications of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (http://is.gd/72Y2i) whereas much of the controversy surrounding the telecoms is on the issue of net neutrality (http://is.gd/72YfR). The author, James G Lakely, says that Baker was “naturally only talking about the kind of bureaucratic rule-making that would affect her digital garden,” but this does not stop him from reading into her statement that she is opposes government regulation of the internet as a general rule. I don’t know if the conclusion necessarily follows, but “regulatory disruption” is a fairly broad term. James G. Lakely’s reading is not totally impermissible.
